Energy Audits
We can do a Phase 1 Energy Audit of your home or business. This is more thorough than an Energy Evaluation.
- Your Energy Audit consists of a walk-through inspection of the property, an analysis of recent utility bills, and a comparison of your property with others of a similar use.
- A report will be written with energy savings recommendations, and a comparison about how your property is relative to others of a similar use.

Your Home Energy Audit will consist of the following four steps:
- Perform historic energy use analysis prior to the site and determine base vs seasonal use.
- Perform a full house inspection of all energy consuming items including HVAC, appliances, lighting, water, electronics, and lots more.
- Identify potential modifications that will reduce your energy use and/or operating cost.
- Prepare a report that lists the analysis, results, tax rebates and known incentives.
In order to provide you the maximum in energy savings, we will need to obtain your hydro bills, natural gas bills and water bills for a minimum of one year.
Your Commercial Energy Audit will consist of the following four steps:
- Perform historic energy use analysis prior to the site to determine base vs. seasonal usage. Includes benchmarking.
- Perform a full facility inspection of all energy consuming items including HVAC, machinery, lighting, water, electronics, and lots more.
- Identify potential modifications that will reduce your energy use and/or operating cost. Prepare a document that lists the analysis, results, tax rebates and known incentives.
In order to provide you the maximum in energy savings, we will need to obtain your hydro bills, natural gas bills and water bills energy bills a minimum of one year. Your energy audit should only take about one hour/ 1000 sq ft and would be as a non-intrusive as possible during normal business hours. We can also arrange to do outside normal business hours.
A report will be written with energy savings recommendations, and calculation of your greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and a comparison about how your property is relative to others of a similar use.
- We will also include recommendations on how to make your home or business more green.
- EASE will follow common industry standards and will be completed by our representative(s) with training in the energy and environmental fields.
- Typically, the Phase 1 Energy Audit will be $249 base price + $40/hr + $0.12 /sq ft plus incidental expenses such as travel if the location is outside the Manitoba Capital Region (Winnipeg and surrounding communities). GST will be added to the total.
