The Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is a non-intrusive investigation undertaken to determine if there is the existence or the potential for the existence of contamination.

The study is to identify and evaluate the physical condition of the site and its surroundings, operational history, potential key ecological receptors and pathways of exposure, potential problem areas and contaminants of concern, health and safety considerations, areas that require immediate or interim action, a preliminary concept of scope of required site investigations, adjacent land uses, and any proposed changes to the type of use of the subject site.

Our Phase 1 ESA is done in general compliance with CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Standard Z768-01 (document Phase One Environmental Assessment).

Since the nature of every site can be so very different, please contact us for more information.
